I have accesses to the hard drive, even if I do nothing?

The suspicious disk access does not always have to be from the virus. Usually it's the defragmentation tool defrag.exe from Microsoft!

The disk is defragmented in the background to achieve better disk performance.

The "defrag.exe" likes to turn on at night. Since it is quite at night, you can see that very well, unless you were lucky and got an ultra quiet hard drive.

Optionally also look through the Windows Task Manager what could be there?

Press CTRL + SHIFT + ESC.

In the task manager click on the text More!

The Windows Resource Monitor, what is it?

If you want to monitor something, you can filter the results by the specific processes or services. The Windows Resource Monitor allows you to quit, restart, and pause and resume processes known as APPs or programs and services.

Troubleshooting can also be done when an application does not respond as expected or behaves like a virus.
